Natal Will Be Called Kinect

Now the highly publicized Project Natal for the Xbox 360 got its official name.

There are huge expectations for Microsoft Project Natal, where a camera to record the player's movements in front of the screen, which is converted into control signals to the games. Natal comes to Xbox 360 later this year.

Now Natal then got its official name. The big game trade show E3 opens its doors on 15th June in California and Microsoft with a major press conference tomorrow, but already pre-software company announced the new name of Natal: Kinect. It alludes presumably to the word kinetic, so moving.

Neither the final price nor launch date for Kinect yet known, but it is perhaps published during E3. But working on a Star Wars game from Lucas Arts and a program called Kinect Sports (like Wii Sports) that uses the new motion control.

Alongside the Xbox 360 console interface Dashboard also changed, so the player can move through the menu, waving his hand.

There are also rumors that while Kinect come one or two new versions of the Xbox 360 that would be smaller and more energy saving than its predecessor, as the PS3 Slim. It was alleged that a black model with 250 GB hard disk and WLAN. But it is not confirmed.
